Time Saving Tips For Content Creation

Because we all need to save time.

It’s no secret that content creation is time-consuming, and sometimes even draining! Here are our top tips for staying on top of social media burnout as the end of the year approaches.

Have a clear process

Because structure is where creativity can thrive! Working without a defined workflow gets messy. Cultivating an easy-to-use, clear content calendar is CRUTIAL to saving time. If you’re looking for a content calendar, check out our Notion Content Calendar Template.

Once you have your structure in place, it’s time to plan, plan and plan some more! Plan your content in advance so that you can look at it from a more strategic perspective and not scramble to get everything done. Outline topics you want to cover for the entire week/month and work in batches. This could mean setting aside two hours each day for two weeks for content creation. Consider all the content you need, then work through each type one by one.

CREATE B-Roll content

Keep your stress levels down by staying ahead of your content posting schedule. If you’ve got an emergency content stash, you’ll be covered if something urgent comes up the day before your next blog post is due, and you won’t have to scramble to create something new. We all have those days where we may not want to be in front of the camera, so keeping a stash of B-roll content comes in handy for those moments.

Organise your b-roll content on folders on your phone so you can quickly access them. If you’re a team, you can create a shared folder so multiple members can access, like what we’ve done here!

Track your FAQ’s

We’ll let you into a little secret… FAQs are the biggest hack when it comes to content creation. You’re actively listening to your audience and creating content that directly addresses their questions/concerns. They’re a great starting point to inspire content ideas. Don’t be afraid to also address comments that may seem ‘negative’. it’s a great opportunity to back your brand/ business and address your customers. Using the ‘reply as video’ feature on TikTok is a great way to directly reply to FAQ’s

Schedule your content

If you’re still manually posting in 2023, wyd?! Please, we are practically begging you to use a scheduler to automate your social media posts. This will save you SO time and ensure that your content is posted at the right time.

Top Tip: You can even schedule your content in-app now, without having to use third party software. Load up your content and caption as usual, and tap ‘advanced settings’ where you can schedule your content for a specific date and time.
