The Biggest Memes On Social Media RN

All the tea on the biggest memes on social media currently…

Keeping up with trends is a major part of being a social media manager - but don’t worry we’ve done the thinking for you this week. Here’s the biggest memes on social media right now, and how you can use them! You’re welcome ✨

Alex Consani - Lifestyle

If you haven’t seen this - you’ve probably been living underneath a rock. American model Alex Consani made a TikTok that went viral featuring her holding the ‘fancy’ water at a restaurant, suggesting it’s part of her ‘lifestyle’ by throwing in the song “Lifestyle by Rich Homie Quan”. All together, this is a classic *chef’s kiss* gen-z meme.

Our suggestion: Use this meme and/or sound to highlight ‘petty’, funny or even unfortunate situations - just like this creator below! It’s a perfect way to show authenticity and personality, the key is to make it as relatable with your target audience as possible.

Simply repost the original video and overlay your own text to put your own spin on this iconic meme!

Kim Kardashian - Iconic

Okay hear us out, this sound from a Kim Kardashian interview during a KUWTK episode has been making the rounds. Kim says ‘because it’s iconic, and I love to do iconic sh*t’, which has been edited with Britney Spears ‘Gimmie More’ instrumental in the background. Although this meme originally surfaced in November, it’s still going strong! Tap in for an easy, funny content idea.

Our suggestion: Use this sound to share situations that were ‘embarrassing’ and reclaiming it as something iconic. Typical gen-z… in confident fashion (here for it).

Creators are reclaiming a situation that they previously thought was ‘embarrassing’ and are reclaiming it as iconic using this trending sound.

Great for personal or a business account, an easy way to show some authenticity!

I think I like this little life”

There’s a new trend on TikTok, and it’s mostly confusing everyone on the app. The trend features the song “Little Life” by UK artist Cordelia O’Driscoll, and it’s seriously taken over our For You pages (for good reason). This viral “I think I like this little life” trend, of which there are over 280,000 videos on TikTok, has recently been facing a change of direction, despite its heartwarming start.

Originally, the “I think I like this little life” trend started as a song for users to compile montages of their happy memories with their friends, significant others, and other loved ones. This was a way for people to celebrate the little things in life and celebrate the joy in their every day.

Now, people are tapping into the trend to almost parody the original content, by adding their own takes of what they dislike about their life in a hilarious spin. Creators are also holding “competitions” of who can say it more aggressively. The whole thing has done a 180, and it’s our favourite end of 2023/ beginning of 2024 trend.

Creator @alexquitt has made a video addressing the fact that her friend has the same name as a murderer - reaching over 1.5 million views. Humour is key in this one, have fun with it and make it relatable!

This trend has also evolved, where we are seeing bizarre but hilarious videos of people parodying the song, and making a joke of how much we hear it online atm!

Here @madisonohora amassed over 10.8m views on her parody video.

The Golden Globes

The 2024 Golden Globes has officially announced its winners, but one moment from the night between Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez has been going viral on social media. In the clip, Gomez crouched down towards Swift and Teller, who were sitting at a table together. The “Wolves” singer appeared to shake her head and utter the word, “No”, to which Swift let out a shocked gasp. While it’s unclear exactly what Gomez was saying, people on social media have been meme-ing this gossip moment to their own niches.

Sports community @thehaveagos leveraged this pop culture moment, putting their own, relatable spin on it. Understanding who your audience are is key to making memes work for you.

Whether its video or an image, add text on top of Taylor Swift’s *sips tea* moment to share a funny, relatable message to your audience. Remember to have fun with it, your followers will most likely feel it!
